10 Tips to Remember in Your Quest for the Perfect Assisted Living Facility
- Make a detailed, accurate and honest assessment of your financial, physical, mental, and
lifestyle needs.
- Visit as many facilities as possible to get an idea of the choices available in your region.
- Limit your selection to the top two or three candidates, and return to those facilities and ask as
many questions as possible.

facilities you are interested in.
Use a reputable assisted living referral network and let them do the footwork for you.
- Make an unannounced visit to the facilities you are interested in. Talk with the residents and
their family members about the facility.
- Ask what conditions or circumstances may result in the need to relocate or move to another
facility.
- Ask what the baseline fee is and what services are included in that fee? Ask what are additional
charges for services/products?
